I love middle schoolers! I love their sense of humor and their thought processes. I love the way they hang in the balance between childhood and those high school years. They have a unique perspective on life and they have a lot to say! From the day I decided to become a teacher I knew that middle school was the place I wanted to be. It can be a challenging job, but I love teaching them and am excited to share some of those experiences with you!
I've had the opportunity to work with so many amazing teachers. One of my co-teachers who retired recently used to always say, "Teaching is not a competitive sport." I love that spirit of collaboration and sharing great ideas. That same teacher also would say that teaching isn't just a job-- it also becomes your hobby. She's right about that too because here I sit on the weekend creating a blog about teaching!
